When Vancouver Police Officer Shelley Newland is involved in a shooting on the job, she finds herself in need of a getaway, to clear her head. She heads to the Oregon Coast, but rather than stay in a hotel, she opts to take her parents’ old Terry trailer.
While at the RV park, she meets handsome Portland Police Detective, Jake Castle, who has some things to work out in his own life. She also meets a group of senior citizens, who are determined to help the younger couple solve their problems.
Unfortunately, Shelley’s excursion becomes a ‘getaway’ in the real sense of the word when she learns she’s the target of a hit man determined to avenge his friend’s death.
Concerned for her new friends’ safety, she isolates herself. Unfortunately, keeping her distance from them becomes impossible, since the helpful seniors have never met a problem they can’t fix. And when Jake discovers Shelley is in danger, he steps up, determined to protect her since…he’s fallen for her.
Will she acknowledge her love for him, or will she ultimately push him away?

This was a clean little thriller/ romance. No sex but it did have a little violence (gun fight). It was also cute and funny and I laughed many times throughout the book. The descriptions were good and the story flowed well. I liked it.Product details

good clean fun. I loved the characters. it was a quick easy read. I enjoy this author's work. nicely done.
A little adventure, mystery, comedy, love, cops and robbers, friends old and young. Well written kept my interest. A great fun read.
I thought this story was very good. Old Lady was a little harsh and probably hard to please. Generally, if you don't like a book, you don't read it. I liked it a lot and hope this author doesn't let some one who appears to be malicious get to her. It was a fun book that made me laugh. I really enjoyed it. Don't let a mean old lady get to you. I looked to see if she reviewed other writers like this. No reviews yet...shame on her. I like a good, clean romance...
I loved the characters, plot and setting. There are a couple of spelling issues, some words aren't in the correct tense so I couldn't give it 5 stars
The book has a good plot and I enjoyed reading it, but I find the tone a little too serious and I think it could be better with more humor.
This book has a lot of danger, humor and love. When you get senior citizens involved you can expect almost anything to happen and in this story, it does. I definitely recommend it.
This nice story brings back happy memories of camping. The romance was a nice part of the story as well as the senior citizens and their devotion to the younger couple. I recommend this book.
